University Sciene High School

University Science High School (USHS) is part of Central Luzon State University (CLSU). It is designed to provide a specialized curriculum that emphasizes science and technology, preparing students for careers in these fields.
USHS aims to cultivate a strong interest in science and research among its students, contributing to the university's overall mission of advancing knowledge and community service.
Academic Support System
University Scine High School or USHS was established on June 14, 1976 within the campus of Central Luzon State University, Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. The school has several facilities to support student learning in the school such as:
1. Classrooms
Classrooms are equipped with whiteboards, LCD screens to support the use of ICT in learning activities, lamps for lighting, tables and chairs for students, and air vents for air circulation in the classroom.
2. Canteen
The canteen sells food that is sold to students or teachers, the canteen sells various types of food and drinks that are healthy and good for consumption.
3. Computer Room
This room is used for students to practice with computers, which in this room are provided with a set of computers, wifi, and printers.
4. Umali Gymnasium
This multipurpose building is often used to support student sports activities, currently the school building is being renovated so students and teachers use Umali Gymnasium as a flag-raising ceremony field every Monday. Festivals or exhibitions are also held here.
Teaching System
Univeristy Sciene High School has a 5-day school day, Monday through Friday. Classes start at 7:30 AM and finish at 5:00 PM. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes.

Curriculum
Central Luzon State University Laboratory High School (CLSU-LHS) adheres to a curriculum aligned with the K-12 education system in the Philippines, encompassing core subjects like Mathematics, Science, English, Filipino, and Social Studies, along with specialized tracks in Senior High School, such as the Academic Track (including Accountancy, Business, and Management), Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track, and Arts and Design Track; it emphasizes research skills through projects and scientific inquiries, promotes participation in extracurricular activities like sports and community service, and focuses on developing 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication to prepare students for future challenges.
The school also provides numerous extracurricular activities, including the Student Body Organization and Supreme Student Government (SBO-SSG), as well as opportunities in journalism through "The Researcher," allowing students to further explore their passions and collaborate with peers.
The material presented is sourced from textbooks and usually takes reference sources from the internet which will later be combined to be delivered to students.
The measurement and evaluation system applied is written work, performance and quartely exam. Students are also asked to present the results of their discussions with their groups in front of the class.
